SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER / ARCHITECT at NEUE // BERLIN
1 POSITION

NEUE is searching for a Senior Interior Designer or Architect to join its studio in Berlin. 
The candidate needs to have proven experience as a Project Manager as they will lead a team of Four (4) staff for a luxury residential project in Berlin that will be carried out in collaboration with a reputable US architecture firm. 
This position requires the candidate to be fully fluent in German and English. 


The candidate should:
  • have a minimum of ten years’ experience in the role of an Interior Designer or Architect, with extensive creative competence
  • work experience with all RIBA stages and/or HOAI 1-9 stages
  • site experience required – following projects from concept through to construction
  • have extensive knowledge of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E)
  • have extensive knowledge of materiality and finishes
  • hold a bachelor’s and preferably also a Masters degree in Interior Design or Architecture
  • experience of managing and mentoring a team
  • experience in the following essential programs: AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, MS Office
  • have excellent design, presentation and graphics skills
  • be passionate about keeping up-to-date with new developments and design trends in the design industry
  • have the ability to visualise concepts and confidently present
  • have the right to work in the EU
  • communicate in German and English fluently

The candidate will be responsible for working closely with head of interiors on the following:
  • processing and developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with project team
  • researching and developing innovative interior environments including concepts, design development and detail design (including visuals, modelling, rendering, technical design documentation)
  • liaising with outside suppliers, contractors and specialists
  • presenting ideas both internally and externally

Interns are able to gain insight into the industry while working on international projects for the studio.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • support the design team in basic drawings (2D + 3D)
  • FF&E material and furnishing proposals including specification moodboard and material board compilations

SENIOR FF&E  SPECIALIST / DESIGNER at NEUE // LONDON

NEUE is searching for a Senior Fixtures, Furnishing and Equipment Specialist/Designer to join its studio in London.
NEUE is a multi-disciplinary studio with offices in Berlin and London. We are specialised in high-end residential and hospitality interiors.

The work of a Senior FF&E designer is closely linked with the architectural side of the project.
The designer has to develop the FF&E concept in conjunction with the project principal and project manager and maintain the programme and budget under the direction of the project manager.
The Senior FF&E designer is responsible for coordinating the FF&E information with the job captain and project manager to ensure accurate integration into the architectural documentation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
  • working with project manager and client to develop schematic FF&E design
  • based on project criteria (brief): programme and budget
  • participating in presentations and ensure the format is compatible client standards
  • developing and maintain FF&E budget
  • developing FF&E specification for documentation
  • directing and reviewing purchase order process to ensure completeness and accuracy (as required)
  • serving as principal contact with purchasing agent
  • reviewing samples, strike-offs for compliance with specifications and design intent
  • directing and reviewing furniture and installation plans for content and accuracy and ensure that they are fully coordinated with architectural and other consultant’s drawings
  • coordinating selection and presentation of artwork and accessories (purchasing if required). Coordinating FF&E installation with all parties involved
  •  working with job captain and project manager throughout project to help formulate staff utilisation/work plan, task assignments and allocation of fees
  • being familiar with the project contract and contractual responsibilities as they relate to FF&E in all phases
  • coordinating with project manager in producing finishes schedules
attending and reviewing site installation of all FF&E items (depending on project requirements)
  • directing education of junior FF&E design staff in office standards, policy etc.
